About

Our Story

Foxglove Care has provided high-quality, person-centred support for adults with learning disabilities since 2003, specialising in autism and behaviours of concern. Our homes, each with no more than three residents, are based in ordinary streets and registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC), offering familiar and adaptable environments.

In 2016, we launched Foxglove Supported Living, enabling people to receive care in their own homes. We work closely with individuals, families, communities, housing providers and commissioners to promote dignity, independence, inclusion and choice. Our goal is to empower every individual to live life their way.

In 2025, we opened Foxglove Bespoke Care and Support in East Hull. This training and activity hub was designed to enhance the lives of the people we support by offering meaningful, engaging activities focused around their interests and needs.

Meet the Team

Johanna Leigh-Thompson

Director / Owner

Giving someone a safe home to live in and supporting them to live a life they choose was the driving force behind Jo’s decision to set up Foxglove in 2003.  For her, keeping the people we support at the heart of all decision-making is paramount and continues to be her motivation.

Seeing the company grow, investing in our team and achieving successful outcomes for those in our care remain central to her mission.

Outside of work, Jo enjoys dancing, boxing, walking and spending time with her family and friends.

Ken Ngwang

Chief Operating Officer

Ken joined Foxglove in 2022, having worked in the care industry since 1998.

With vast experience and excellent leadership and coaching skills, he is brilliant at motivating people and drawing out the best in them, whether they are part of the team or those we support.

Outside of work, on a personal level, Ken has recently returned to fitness and exercise.  He runs 10k and has successfully completed half marathons and full marathons.

Jo Tuttle

HR Manager

Jo has worked for Foxglove since 2013 starting out as an assistant, before gaining her qualifications in Human Resources and becoming an Associate Member of the CIPD.

She enjoys the variety her role brings and thrives on being part of a team that implements changes that improve the organisation and benefit those who work within it.

Outside of work, Jo enjoys spending time with her family, days out, baking, cross stitching, Netflix and spending time with her granddaughter.

Annemarie Bone

Positive Behaviour Support Lead and Trainer

Annemarie  joined Foxglove in 2020, starting out as an activities coordinator, before qualifying as a Non-Abusive Physical and Psychological Intervention (NAPPI) trainer.  She is also the Wellbeing Support Officer within the company.

She enjoys making a difference and loves all aspects of her role.

Outside of work Annemarie likes to go to the gym, attend exercise classes and spend time with her family.

Emma Kelsey

Area Registered Manager, Foxglove Supported Living

Emma started as the Registered Manager for Foxglove Supported Living in 2016, having worked in care for two decades.  Seeing the residents live a safe and fulfilling life in their own homes within the local community and being part of the progress they continue to make gives her immense job satisfaction on a daily basis.

Outside of work Emma enjoys spending time with her family and friends and enjoys holidays abroad.

Roscoe Irvine

Area Registered Manager, Foxglove Care

Roscoe has spent the last 11 years working in both children’s and adult services.  Starting at Foxglove in 2024, he is passionate about ensuring people are at the centre of the decisions being taken about their own care.

Outside of work, Roscoe is an avid gym user and takes this very seriously.  Over the last 2 years he has competed in body building competitions which takes a lot of consistency and dedication, traits he brings into this work here at Foxglove.

Kat McFarlane

Registered Manager

Kat started at Foxglove in 2007, working her way up to Registered Manager.

Her favourite part of the job is seeing the people we support live happy, fulfilling lives doing what they choose to do, while working alongside such a caring and dedicated team.  For Kat, it’s not just a job.  She finds real satisfaction in watching Foxglove go from strength to strength and in seeing the individuals we look after gain the confidence to take a more active role in community life.

Outside of work, Kat enjoys spending time with family and friends, nights out, holidays in the sun and reading.

Katie Brook

HR Assistant

Katie has worked at Foxglove since July 2015, starting as an assistant before completing a CIPD-accredited course to become our HR Assistant.

She is also responsible for much of the Health & Safety within the company and is our ‘go-to’ for tech enquiries, with her knowledge of all matters IT-related.

Katie always enjoys seeing the people we look after visit the office, often spending time chatting with them about what they have been up to.

Outside of work, her big passion is football, spending time with her cats and whizzing around on her electric bike.

Jacqui Crosbie

Finance Manager

Jacqui joined Foxglove in 2022 and brings over 20 years of experience in finance, accounts and payroll.  She’s passionate about keeping everything running smoothly and takes pride in making sure every detail is spot on.

What Jacqui loves most about her role is being part of a team that’s making a difference.  She finds it inspiring to see the people we support thrive, build fulfilling lives and become more involved in their local community.

Outside of work, she likes to spend time with family and friends.

Dean Brown

Maintenance Operative

Dean joined Foxglove in October 2021 after a couple of years of “semi-retirement” following six years working for the NHS in the emergency ambulance service.  With a background in construction, he originally trained as an electrician but went on to spend nearly 30 years on building sites, picking up a wide range of skills across different trades.

From kitchens and bathrooms to patios, ponds, gazebos and fencing, there’s not much he hasn’t built or repaired – and that experience proves invaluable in his role here at Foxglove.  Dean enjoys the relaxed atmosphere, the freedom to plan and complete tasks in his own way and the friendly team spirit full of laughs and banter.

Outside of work, he’s rarely without a project on the go, whether that’s gardening, building something new or enjoying a bit of fishing.  While lots of people have told him he could earn more elsewhere, for him it’s about enjoying his work and being part of a place that feels right.

Adetomi Tubi

Office Administrator

Adetomi has worked for Foxglove since 2023 as a Receptionist/Office Administrator.

From answering the telephone and welcoming visitors to handling purchase orders and booking external training courses, she also works alongside Annemarie on the admin side of the Non-Abusive Physical and Psychological Intervention (NAPPI) training as well as helping to compile the company newsletter.

She enjoys the variety of her role and finds real fulfilment in supporting Foxglove’s day-to-day operations.

Outside of work, Adetomi enjoys time alone, reading, cooking and spending quality time with family.
